What is the Boat?
The Boat is a new group starting in Hayfield exploring how faith can help us in our modern-day lives. It will be an open and inclusive group. The Boat is a journey of discovery as we learn and create together!
Who is this for?
The Boat is for the curious, doubters, believers, the disaffected and dreamers! It is for people who want to find the form of spirituality that is right for them. It is for people who want to be part of an adventure, creating something new!
The Boat is LGBTQ+ affirming and we want the group to be as diverse as possible. The only condition of taking part is respect for each other.
What will we do?
We will share and learn through things like reflecting on music and art, trying different kinds of prayer and meditation, experiencing nature, discussion together, sharing food and becoming friends along the way. Much will depend on what each of us finds most helpful and also on what we can each contribute to the mix!
